• Picket tops cracking at mounting points. The routed hole in the CWS picket creates a stress concentrator. Wind loading from our winter storm patterns focuses flex at that point, and the vinyl crystallizes and splits. This is cosmetic until moisture enters the hollow picket and freezes, splitting it lengthwise.
