DIY or Call Us?

What you can safely check yourself: lift the grate with a flathead screwdriver and look for obvious debris buildup in the catch basin. Run a hose into the channel and confirm water flows toward the outlet. Check the grate label for the series name and length measurement. That’s about where DIY should stop.

Where it goes wrong: the channel housing is structural. Cutting it out without shoring the surrounding bedding layer collapses the paver field. The waterproofing collar requires heat-gun activation of the butyl tape to bond properly, and the slope must be verified with a laser level, not eyeballing.
